I slept in today. Ironicially I made it into work 15 minutes earlier than yesterday, although I left 25 minutes later. Still, this week has been a failure devotionally. I hate having to choose being spending quiet time with God in the morning or getting into work late. (It's bad enough having to choose between washing my hair or getting into work late.) When I do this, I bring what ever book I was going to read into work with me, but I never read it. I have been really good about working out 4 times a week for the last 2 weeks, and now I just need to bring this discipline back to my mornings.

Speaking of weight - I weighed myself naked this morning and I have indeed lost 2 pounds since last Wednesday.

I printed a passport application off of the web. It says that they strive to have passports ready in 10 working days, but I want to get this in quickly just in case they suddenly develop a backlog.

We're getting a babysitter on Saturday while we go to the play. It still annoys me. I'm less concerned about leaving Grace with her - she works in the nursery once every 8 weeks and is one of the teens who has consistently shown interest in Grace. And her mom is about 5 minutes away. It still bothers me that I have not been able to make trading babysitting work. I still see it as a failure to really be in community with people and to really be living the kind of interdependent lives that we should. Well maybe that kids party I'm having on the 31st will be another step in the community building process.

In the mean time, I must find about $25 cash as that will be about what it will cost me. (I still find it obnoxious that I must pay the same amount to a teenager who will study while she sleeps as I paid Grace's adult babysitter who watched her from 7:00-5:30 and included a lunch as well.)
